I created this artwork using layers blending modes in Photoshop. The effect is kind of cool and funky! I’m interested where do you see a picture like this belonging? In a child’s room; in a museum; at your house or should it go straight to the scrap heap? Thoughts?

I might even do a small tutorial for F Stop Lounge on how to do this – if I get the time! I have a few weddings to edit.

A New Day

A new day brings colour and beauty.

Flowering carpets of colour merge from the arid cracking earth.

Crowns of yellow stand surrounded by a dancing sea of indigo blue performing on the gentle breeze.

A wave of colour floods my vision as the lens focuses on the beautiful creation.

Clusters of aromatic perfume fill my senses, the composition falls into place.

My final breath rests on the click of the shutter button.

I am captivated, captured and colourful. I am a beautiful new day.

Wildflowers at Kings Park

Today I managed to get out and photograph some beautiful wildflowers at Kings Park located just a stones throw from Perth City. Armed with the Olympus OM-D E-M5  and 12-50mm lens coupled with the Canon EOS 1D MK IV and Canon MPE-65 lens I set myself a challange to photograph the same flower in four different ways.
